On your first visit, we will ask you for personal data and health background information. This general information is designed to help us complete insurance forms or other correspondence. The health information provides a baseline history to aid us in providing quality dental care for you. Please keep us informed of any changes in your name, address, phone number, or insurance policies; and any changes in your general health or medications. Your personal information is always kept confidential. We follow the HIPPA guidelines which is now federal law. We provide a full range of technologically advanced dental services for all ages. Usually your 1st appointment will be for a dental cleaning by one of our excellent dental hygienists. Dr. Barry will meet you and determine what initial concerns you have. Either on that day or soon after, the process begins with listening to the patient's concerns and goals. A thorough exam and records are obtained, and from this information an accurate diagnosis of existing and potential dental problems are determined. An individualized treatment plan of action is then formulated incorporating your specific goals and desires. Dr. Barry will meet in consultation to present treatment options and recommendations. The patient may take an active role in asking questions and making decisions about treatment acceptance. Most patients feel that they really understand their dental situation like never before because no one has ever invested the amount of time that Dr. Barry has.
